SHARED HOPE INTERNATIONAL
Shared Hope International was established to provide hope to the hopeless. Former Congresswoman Linda Smith of Washington State could not ignore women and children being victimized in the commercial sex industry. Today, we lead prevention strategies, restoration programs, and justice initiatives to combat trafficking in the U.S. and abroad.

10 MINUTES
- Talk with kids/your kids about trafficking and how it's done in a replicated fashion in most cases, and tell them how the long term affects of being trafficked lead to trauma for a victim that may affect their entire life. Tell them that everyone is entitled to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness and this is taken away from a child that is trafficked. Tell them often.

There's a list of all pending legislation made available by state at http://www.polarisproject.org/what-we-do/policy-advocacy/national-policy/all-pending-legislation. Become familiar with the legislation pending and call or email your State Representative or Senator's office requesting support for specific legislation or just to let them know this is an important issue to you.

Align with an organization in your area that is working on prevention, restoration, and justice. Work together to impact your community in the best way that works for you, because all the little things that each of us do actually add up to making a difference. There is need for impact on adults that participate, awareness for children, and services for survivors -- there's lots to do!
